Altaf Bukhari reviews implementation of Baramulla DDB decisions | KNO

Stresses on proper, time bound completion of projects

The Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, today chaired a meeting to review the implementation of various decisions taken during the last Baramulla District Development Board (DDB) meeting.

 

Minister for Horticulture Syed Basharat Bukhari, legislators Javed Hassan Beigh, Yawar Dilawar Mir, Mohammad Abbas Wani, Abdul Rasheed Dar, Ghulam Nabi Monga and Mohammad Muzaffar Parray, Secretary School Education, Farooq Ahmad Shah, District Development Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Naqash and other officers were present in the meeting.

The meeting took a comprehensive review of the progress made in various developmental projects in the current year. The Minister also reviewed status of decisions of the last Board meeting and took stock of sectoral, physical and financial achievements registered, so far, under the District Plan 2017-18.

Stressing on timely completion of development projects, Altaf Bukhari, who is also the Chairman of Baramulla DDB, directed the officials to complete the ongoing works in a time bound manner.

District Development Commissioner Baramulla briefed the meeting about various developmental activities that are currently at various stages of completion. He informed the meeting that against an approved outlay of Rs 254.35 crore, Rs 46.07 crore has been released and out of the released amount, Rs 29.62 crore stands expended till ending August 2017. Altaf Bukhari directed the district administration to put in their best for realizing the goals and targets envisaged in annual plan so as to ensure maximum benefit to the people.

He called upon the concerned officers to put in their best efforts and implement all the decision of the Board in letter and spirit for the overall progress and development of the district.

The legislators representing different constituencies of the district raised various demands and issues of public interest concerning their respective constituencies and demanded their immediate redressal. The Chairman DDB assured them that their demands will be looked into and necessary steps would be taken to address them.

On the occasion, Altaf Bukhari directed the PHE and PDD departments to put in their best to maintain regular supply of water and electricity to the people in view of Muharram.
